I've seen this mentioned in a few threads but none specific to RC4.

Navigation of the EPG is very slow in RC4. The problem started occuring somewhere between RC2 and RC3.
It's been noted in other threads that this is due to the code that puts the red dot or bar against shows in the guide that are due to be recorded.

I have about 20 schedules configured, the majority are "any time on this channel" schedules.

I'm running SQL 2005 Express as the database engine.

Is there a workaround or fix for this? Does anyone know the mantis ID for the bug?

Cheers
Mark

Hi Jernis

Thanks for the skin. Although it doesn't help help with the slow EPG navigation it does fix the severe stuttering of the GUI TV preview that I was experiencing.

I still beleive that the slowness in navigating the EPG is due to a problem with the code used to highlight shows that are due to be recorded. See this thread.
