slow gui perfomace during videos since 0.2.2 (1 Viewer)

every since 0.2.2 any time there is an overlay like the seek bar or something on top of a video, the video becomes super choppy or when the video is minimized the gui becomes uselessly slow




MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2
MediaPortal Skin: regular
Windows Version: xp pro sp2 fully updated
CPU Type: p4 w/ht 2.4
HDD: 160gig ide
Memory: 256 (shitty i know)

its a dell 8300 rig

Video Card: tnt2
Video Card Driver: 97.23

no tv tuners, its a basic rig

    lol, since it worked with the last version i totally ignored that. il get back to this thread once i upgrade that.

    this was an issue with the latest Mepo skin for some people (the overlay bar, not the choppy).

    The fix is as below:
    I found the problem was in the common.progressbar.xml file.

    Under the 'Progress Bar' control, remove/comment out the '<texturebg>' entry (wasn't in earlier versions of the skin?) and set the '<visible>' entry to 'no'.

    Obviously this is a quick fix and will probably be addressed more properly.

    for the slower performance, the latest version of MP has more resource demanding skins due to the animations. You can try a more basic skin or otherwise try turining off animations in the set up program.
