So, I got a working installation with the free channels, and came here to read that softcams aren't supported. This pretty much means I wasted my time, nice software and all - but there is no way I'm going to pay the premium for upgrading my asus DVB-T card to one that has a hardcam just to run MP. Is this the end of the road? Any alternatives at all, like private MP builds or whatever? Or should I just stick to mytheatre?

You can always make a private build to have softcam support.

The team does not forbid / restrict the development of such plugins. But it will not give support / help in doing such a job.

i believe someone is currently developing such a thing.

First, any installation of MP is NOT a waste of time... There are a couple posts about this over here and over on the DVBN forums. Also, you can use MT to just record shows and then just play the shows through my videos.... not the best way to do it... but one way.

Thanks, that's good to know that someone is working on it, it would be great to have MD/plugin capability for sure. I gave it a try with the current instructions for MDAPI setup listed in the other thread, but if my MP was unstable before those patches sure didn't help.... WAF went from 1 to -10, lol!
