[SOLVED] upgrading from 1.0.0 to 1.1.2 (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I installed MP as a MediaCenter now almost 2 years ago and it worked nice without bigger problems since then. So first of all let me thank every contributor to MediaPortal for the great work! Now as it worked fine, I didn't have to come here and so I must admit I'm a bit lost now. So sorry if it is not the right forum to post my question.

Currently version 1.0.0 is installed on my PC and I read that version 1.1.2 was recently released. I couldn't find yet anything explaining how to upgrade to the newest version and must stop searching because my wife is getting nervous seeing me hanging on the PC "doing nothing". I am sure you experienced this already.

So if somebody could tell me how to do it or send me the link to the article explaining it, you would save a man's life!

Hi!

If you run the installer the "Deploy Tool" will suggest update (if possible? I think its possible from 1.1.0 or 1.1 RCx) or new install. I would suggest that you reinstall your hole system!

Thanks Tompa for your answer.

As you said I uninstalled the old version and installed the last release from scratch and it works. Still need to adjust some parameters, but it's up and running.
