I've some problem with HD channels on CanalSat/Canal+ ( france ). In fact M6 HD, 13ème RUE HD and National Geo HD are working, but TF1 HD, Canal+ HD, Cine PREMIER HD and Disney Magic HD appear as "scrambled".

When I use DTV Viewer, all channels are working. The CAM is AstonCrypt 2.18.

I've also tried to increase CAM timeout to 30 secs without any result. But, in this case, changing form M6 ( working ) to Canal+, Canal+ works for ~20 secs, then the message box "Scrambled" appear.

I've attached the log files of the change M6->Canal+ ( Tv.log & Mediaportal.log are mixed to try to understand. )

In the log files there are some trouble with the codecs, but I think it's not the problem.I just nedd to clean it.

Another thing I noticed, after receiving the "Srambled" box, the timeshift returns before the previous channel change in a complete mess !!

    Regards.

    Hi Ambass,

I've got the same problem here with the exact same channels but with a different card, and I don't know what to do. Like you when I use the software provided by the tv-card manufacturer (technotrend), none of these channels are scrambled, so I guess the problem comes from MP. Like you I have an astoncrypt 2.18 card.
By the way, which codec do you use for the working HD channels?

    Regards

    Hi Sts,

I've tried Cyberlink PDVD 7.3 AVC/H264 codecs with or without hardware acceleration, CoreAVC without any result.

    I've observed 2 things :
1 ) Starting recording of these channels with TV OFF is working. Then, turning ON the TV on the recorded channel
allow you to watch it. ( But don't zap on another channel ! )
2 ) Turning on the TV directlly on one of these channels sometimes works.

I think in another thread ( FloppyDTV-C - "Channel is scrambled" ) where Gibman add user programmable timeouts for CAM, the problem is the same.

    :D for this "tricky" solution.
Not the best, but at least it's working. I hope the next version of the tv server will fix this problem.

    Hi Sts and Portal Developers,

I've totally re-install the HTPC with XP instead of XPMCE and the problem is present again, and until now I've worked on the 17150 rev.

I've had a look in the software, tried to recompile, understand, do some changes and add some logs....

    I've noticed some items :
TF1 HD, C+ HD, Cine Premier HD and Disney Cinemagic HD contains all Teletext or subtitles TS packets...and are not working.
M6 HD, Nat Geo HD and 13eme Rue do not contain any teletex or subtitle TS packets and are working...

I'm not really sure there is a link but....

Looking at the TS packet header, when it's not working, Video is always Unscrambled but "French" audio is always Scrambled. ( When another audio is present, it's Unscrambled ! )

At this level, I've supposed the CAM has not received properly the Pids to decode.

I've tried to send twice the PMT table to the CAM in DigitalEverywhere.cs, and magically it works !!!

As my job is also sw developer ( on real-time systems, not on Windows !! ), it's a poor patch !

I'll try on a newer release asap, but I've not seen any changes in "DigitalEverywhere.cs" so...

Is anybody has an idea and a better solution ?

Do not hesitate for more information.

    Regards
    Ambass.

    ( Floppy-DTV-S2 ( ver 4.5N ) / CAM Aston ( ver 2.18 ) / Canal+ & CanaSat )

( For you, Sts, the patch is not directly applicable, another file should be patched for testing this trick. It is in the TSWriter for technotrend, instead of TVlibrary for DigitalEverywhere )

could you please contact dman_lfc and tell him what you found out about the problem please?

also include your patched sourcefiles / the diff.
