I am running version 3664 with the MCE receiver/blaster. Some of the IR Commands for my older Sony receiver no longer work. Most annoying is that I can increase volume but not decrease it.
I had been using Girder with the replacement driver and plugin and was able to control the receiver just fine for many years. I bought a Toshiba Regza LCD TV and was unable to control it (probably due to the NEC encoding). Now with IRSS I can control the TV but as stated above, SOME of the commands to the receiver no longer work.
I have tried learning/testing from both the translator and the IR File Tool. I can consistently learn and successfully test volume up but not volume down (and several other commands). Both tools indicate that the learning worked and the tests were sent but the receiver does not respond. I have tried using several versions of CCF codes with the same results. I have tried using the old IRK code files that worked with Girder and Bruno Fleurette's driver/plugin with the same results (again vol-up worked and vol-down doesn't).
I can only assume at this point that IRSS is having trouble with something in the encoding for these particular commands.
I've had high WAF for several years but now it's dropping quickly and volume just goes up.
