I've set up MediaPortal on Windows 7, it's working, and I like it far more than the pre-installed Windows MediaCenter. I've found only one big problem: Some channels don't work, which work in MediaCenter as well as in Terratec HomeCinema (and on the Kathrein receiver). So, I suspect MediaPortal as the reason.

During scanning, the status screen prints during scanning the Astra transponders:

Inb:1 40tp- 10744000 LinearH 22000:No signal
Inb:1 46tp- 10773000 LinearH 22000:New:0 Updated: 10

and later during scanning Hotbird:

Inb:2 1tp- 10719000 LinearV 27500:No signal
Inb:2 2tp- 10796000 LinearV 27500:New:0 Updated: 20

and

Inb:2 43tp- 10723000 LinearH 29900:No signal
Inb:2 51tp- 10775000 LinearH 28000:New:0 Updated: 39

These are the lowest frequencies on each satellite. 10744000 on Astra contains EinsExtra and other German programs I'd like to watch.

I've attached the tv.log, but I didn't find any special information about the missing transponders there.

AW: Some transponders don't work in MediaPortal, but in other programs

I've found out that the programs on these transponders don't work in Windows MediaCenter, only in the software provided by the receiver manufacturer. I'll contact the hotline of the manufacturer. Hopefully it will be more helpful than my last call there.
