Sopcast streaming in MP, possible? (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I have just recently discovered MP, and I am totally in love with it now, just have to figure it out a little better, but think there is a lot to fiddle with still, or I know there is.

But I was thinking it would be totally awesome, if it was possible to stream sopcast through MP, as I enjoy watching soccer/football games via myp2p.eu.

And if it was possible to get the webbrowser to function so I could navigate to myp2p.eu find the game I wanted to see, click it so sopcast starts, but just have it run in MP instead.

Is that possible?

I agree that this would be awsome, but as far as I know, this would not be possible since there is no sopcast API.

The creation of a plugin for collecting streaming links is probably easy - but the playback of these protocols is quite another case.

I don't know if it is possible to grab Videostream from embedded players? (Like on many of the links on firstrow.net)

I just checked and found that there is a Sopcast Directshow filter that works (I got it working in GraphStudio). So support in Onlinevideos should be possible.

After installation you are able to play sopcast links (Example: sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/xxxxx) in Windows Media Player.

Offbyone > Will filter work for MePo/Onlinvideos , if it works for WMP? Or will it need further tweaking?

If so, then we only need to "grab" sopcast links from different sites to get this working

Not sure here a good place to get sopcast links is though. This is where I find mine MyP2P.eu :: Free Live Sports on your PC, Live Football, MLB, NBA, NHL and more... but I don't think there is an easy way to grab the list and filter it for Sopcast.

I see you already had the same site in mind!

atdhe.net support would fitt into this category aswell. Most of their stuff is flash based, but some is Veetle and Vshare so that might be harder I don't know. But atdhe is great on sports.

Flash based links from Firstrow.net and atdhe.net are collected from different hosts and flash video types - So it is probably much harder to parse these types of links.

But Sopcats links are very easy to do, because all links can be retrieved through myp2p.eu and the sopcasts filter handles the rest.

But until now, no one has offered to help on parsing Sopcast links to Onlinevideos.

So we still need help with my previous post #7, since i'm no parsing expert:-S
