Sorting & Genres (1 Viewer)

I attempted to search the forum but had issues so if these are redunant I apologize.

I'm currently using jriver and the thearre view is getting very tired looking. However, the ease and detail with wich you can sort and view the information is exceptional. I tried xbmc and while the look is second to none, sorting was terrible (could only sort by 4 criteria while in jriver, it's absolutely limiteless and you can sort different sections by different criteria) and changing the genre require changes at the sql level.

This is all to ask how the sorting and genre manipulation is with mp? I have several hundred movies with specific genres in xml files in the same directory as the movie file and I'd love not ot have to recreate them.

In my [very biassed ] opinion MP's abilities in this area are pretty powerful. You do it with a combination of two settings: view and sort. All of this is described in the wiki with screenshots and comments.
