Hi everyone

My computer is connected to my reciever via SPDIF connection. When playing vidoes or watching TV every couple of minutes there is a very brief cutout in the sound. This does not happen when playing music though. The audio renderer for TV and videos is both set to Default DirectSound Device and I cannot see the SoundMAX driver in the drop down list.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks,
Amit

I must say i am not a 100% shure if this apply to your problem, but i know i had some issues with my onboard soundcard(realtek 850 based), where sound would cut out at times on my digital output, this problem went away with my SB audigy card, and even my old Terratec DMX fire 1024 with toslink out.
