LiveTV was playing in the background for some time, when suddenly the sound went into a loop (IE a buzzing noise caused by about 1ms of sound repeating). It wasn't as noticeable but I'm pretty sure the picture froze as well.

I expected my PC to be locked up, as when this had happened in the past (a while ago now), it was a driver problem which crashed the PC, but this time I was able to stop LiveTV and exit MP normally, so this was obviously something else.
