Special S00e0x episodes have wrong title. (1 Viewer)

I understand that for Episodes to show up under the "Specials" Section, I simply use the TVDB, and follow their naming conventions with Specials being Season 00.

For example, I have Mythbusters S00E18 - Pirate Special
TVRenamer, TheTVDB.com, and the filename all show S00E18 as Pirate Special.

However when importing into TV Series,
It shows as 0x18 - Young Scientists Special. Where is it getting this info, and why is it incorrect?

I have attached a gigantic obnoxious Screenshot, but it shows all the needed info.

If you delete your specials from configuration does it get the right names when re-importing? Possibly when you initially imported the names were wrong online, usually TVSeries plugin does updates but something could of gone wrong either locally or remote.

I've tried deleting just the specials section, and the entire series, it will always come up with the incorrect info. Shows wrong episode numbers and names in the manual importer too. I've verified that i am using thetvdb.com as the online data sync, so i'm not sure whats happenin

I had a quick look for you, it seems to be a issue with the data coming from the API.

Here is what the plugin tries to download for mythbusters: http://zip.thetvdb.com/data/zip/en/73388.zip

You will notice that the en.xml file within has incorrect data for Season 0 Episode 18 :

<Combined_episodenumber>18</Combined_episodenumber>
<Combined_season>0</Combined_season>
<EpisodeName>MythBusters Young Scientists Special</EpisodeName>

The best way to get this resolved is raise at theTVDB.com forums.
