Speeding up background load (1 Viewer)

I know theres an advanced option to decrease the wait time when loading the images up (to help out the scrolling) but even when looking at a single series there seems to be noticable lag for the background compared to the logo/text.
Is this purely disk read speed related? and would having the images stored on a SSD help? or is it other things as well

have you tried decreasing the backdrop and artwork loading delays in the General tab?

yeah, i've tried that as well. didn't really make much difference. I'm just thinking that my Revo isn't powerful enough for the front end, movies play fine though.
