Splash screen and Icons for MP2 Alpha release

As announced here (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-529/upcoming-mp2-alpha-release-todo-list-95975/), we are looking for some nice splash screen and icons for the MP2-Client and MP2-Server components.

These are the current images and icons:


So we ask all of our very talented skinners to create some nice graphics for MP2

Sounds as a great idea at first but why design such graphics at this point when there is not yet an overall look and feel for MP2?

Well, the "feel" is more or less ready. The "look" depends on the skin/theme. If we had an already defined overall look and feel, would you create icons and splash screen for us?

There were some major changes in MP2, i.e. my "NewSkin" (it has no name yet) was added, and there are several themes available for the default skin.

I think there won't be "one overall look and feel" ever, because MP2 is too flexible

That's why some "generic" splash screen, which is not too much skin dependent, is required for a first Alpha version

Is this going to be the default skin with various themes?

I've designed a splashscreen for AValon. Is this what you mean by a generic splash?

I've designed a splashscreen for AValon. Is this what you mean by a generic splash?

I was just about to take a stab at it, but this is perfect, couldn't have done better myself.
