SQL Express 2005 crashing with Vista (1 Viewer)

I am trying to install the Tv-Engine and MediaPortal on a computer running Vista. When I get to the point where I am to change the settings for the SQL Server and allowing remote connections, it crashes when pressing "OK" or "Apply"

The error message look like this:

Anyone knows what to do to solve this problem??

i've heard people saying that there are some issues with SQL and associated apps running on Vista.

an SQL adminsitrator i know has had to keep XP on a partition to do SQL work, as there were some compatability issues when running on Vista.

Try log on as an administrator and do the changes.

The administrator account is disabled by default but that can be changed.

Another option migt be to run the tools as administrator (right klick the shortcut or exe-file and select "run as administrator" or something similar.).

It worked fine using the "Run as Administrator".

for vista you need SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 2 - (CTP) December 2006
the SP1 version should have told you that when you installed it
