Hello forum,
I am trying to configure my HTPC (running MP 1.1.2 client+server with a Terratec Cinergy S2 (PCI) + CI module) to enter standby mode on certain conditions. I searched Google for a solution and tried several forums, but so far didn't manage to get a satisfying solution (yes, I tried the usual - PowerScheduler, MCE Standby Tool etc.). So I hope if I describe what I want to achieve, somebody here might know a way. Here it goes:
- The system is never turned off, it's either in standby or up and running
- It should never go to standby automatically, only when I press the power button
- When a recording is scheduled and the system is in standby, it's supposed to wake up on its own, start recording and then enter standby again
Nothing special, just what I consider "ordinary behavior". But to my surprise, I had all kinds of problems with that, like the system not waking up when supposed to, the system never ever going to standby (not even after scheduled wakeup+recording), the system entering standby when it's not supposed to etc. pp. I now have an improvised solution involving Power Scheduler and MCE Standby Tool. But still, the system won't reliably enter standby after a scheduled recording.
So, does anybody here know a way to do this?
