    Hi All,

I recently installed XP Pro with MP 1.0.2 and trying to get the remote completely working. Everything seems working except getting the system in Standby when MP is running.....

As mentioned, the HTPC will not go Standby by remote when MP is running. Only when I close MP and then hit the POWER button (on the remote) it works!?
BTW: I've got an MCE receiver and remote with IR server suite running.

When investigating it, I noticed the following:
    • starting MP from boot, Standby works with MP in homescreen, eg when I haven't activated any service in MP for example Radio or TV
    • when I turn on Radio or TV and try to put the system in Standby it doesn't work anymore. I can get the system in Standby by closing MP and then pushing the Power button on the remote

Is there somebody which can point me to a solution?

    Cheers

In your "My System" there are 3 remotes - which one are you using?
I think it must be a MP remote key mapping issue for the power button within MP.
Do you have the correct remote key mappings configured in MP?
As it works outside MP I think it has to be a MP remote key mapping issue.

    Hi Moab,

I do think its a mapping, but don't know where to start and how to solve it.

In MP config I selected the MCE remote.

Can you give me pointers to check?

As I just used a default RC6 MCE remote I never need to mess with mappings.
I have read about it on the forum.
    Look in the MP manual.
Then if you need more information search the forums.
Let me know if you get stuck.

    Hi Moab,

After some searching the solution was found in activating the power pluging in MP and TV server.
    Thanks for the reply.
