    Area: Media Portal TV
    MP Version: 0.2 + the 2 patches ( 0.2.0.2 )
    Skin: default
    Windows Version: WinXP SP2
    CPU Type: A64 3000+
    Memory: 768MB
    Motherboard Chipset: Asus A8N-E
    Video Card: Ati X550
    Video Card Driver: -
    Video Card Resolution: 720x576i
Video Codec Type & Version: MPV
Audio Codec Type & Version: MPA
    TV Card: Twinhan Cab CI(2031)
    TV Card Type: DVB-C
    TV Card Driver: 1.2.3.8

    Problem:
Normally i can watch the scrambled channels i have paid for without problems. If i ask mediaportal to go into standby, and then resume later on however, i cannot see those channels any more. In that case i need to restart MediaPortal which is very annoying.

    My logfile: http://mp.pastebin.com/756448

All log info ( zip file generated my MP Test Tool):
    http://quick.dropfiles.net/download.php?file=3947cfcf2c3dd35c9555b31fee2f7c41

    What the log shows:
    1. i enter My TV and tune a scrambled channel. OK.
    2. i leave my tv and ask mp to 'sleep'
    3. i resume the HTPC
    4. I go to My tv and try to tune the same channel, no go.
    5. I tune a free channel, OK.
    6. I try to tune the scrambled channel again, no go.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem, is it a bug (and if so is it a MP bug or a driver/hw bug?)

That problem sounds different, MediaPortal doesnt crash/lock up on me, its just the DVB-C tuner that stops working.

Btw, i just want to add that the tuner has no problems if i watch TV in MyTheatre, exit MyTheate,, standby, resume, watch TV in MyTheatre, exit MyTheatre, standby, resume, .... .

Im thinking maybe the CAM needs to be reset and that both MyTheatre and MP does this at startup, but not when resuming.

I updated to 0.2.0.3 and its still happening. Should this be reported as a bug?

Btw, i know it says in my Sig that i have two tuners with a card splitter but i have also tried with only one card and the smartcard directly in the CAM, same thing happens.

Your problem seems very similar to mine (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=16740).

We both have Twinhan-cards it seems (I have a DVB-T, 3040)... From my experiments I also guess thaht the CAM needs to be totally resetted when resuming from suspend/hibernate.

Now that does seem like the same problem, i think im going to migrate to your thread.

There seem's to be a common thread that devices are not restarting properly, whether it's a cam, remote or tv card after coming out of standby.
What i would love to know is anyone running xp pro with all MS updates and MP 0.2.0.3 and successfully using standby/hibernate and also powerscheduler.
Sorry love to say it's a MS update thats screwed up, so interested in anyone using xp pro without updates using MP 0.2.0.3 working ok as well.

    thanks
