Stereo sound on surround speakers? (2 Viewers)

Hello!

I have Logitexh X540 5.1 Sound system and soundcard Trust SC-5250.
I have activated the setting to use all speakers even for non sorround (mono, stereo..) sound.

For example if i am watching a video with a stereo sound the VLC, MediaPlayer... are playing sound on all 5 speakers but MediaPortal is playing sound on only two front speakers.

Is there any way to make this work in MediaPortal.

BTW: I am using WinXP SP3 and latest MediaPortal.

If you are using FFDShow as your codec, there is an option in the settings to upmix to 5.1 sound. This should do it.
