The issue is old (as far as I know). When I play music (any music) when having Aero active in Vista, the sound is clipping or whatever you call it. As soon as I disable Aero, the problem is no longer there.

the logs posted are of no use.
    i need Mediaportal.log

when you say any music, i asume you've tried both BASS and the Internal Player?
Have you tried also using a External Music Player Plugin, like Winamp?

OK. Sorry for that :sorry: . I did the test again and found the log and uploaded it. I tried without BASS and the problem is still there. I tried using the Winamp plugin and then it sounds ok. However, when playing via Winamp, MP loses focus, so I don't like that that much :(
The log is just from playing using the internal DShow player.
I am using SPDIF towards my receiver for the output.

But let me make it clear that I love MP!!!:D :D :D
