    Hi!

I've installed 1.1.0 RC1. Server and 3 clients. so far all seems to work fine.

But if I stop live TV (B) on one client while a second stream is present, on the second client the picture freezes and there's no sound anymore. TVService is still streaming the second stream.

I can reproduce this error nearly each time (19/20).

This is what I did (logs).

Client 1: start live TV / TV ok
Client 2: start live TV / both streams ok
Server: 2 streams on 2 TV cards / ok
client 2: going to BH and stop liveTV // live TV stops (sometimes it takes longer then in 1.02 to stop a stream)
client 1: picture freezes and no sound anymore / if i then try to stop liveTV on client2 also, it takes minutes until the little live TV window (on Basic home after pressing B) is gone, some times I#d to kill this client via task manager.

No problem, if you need further information.

have something similar. Just here I tried to play a stream in MP and then preview another channel in TV-Server Config. What happened:
channel I wanted to preview started in MP and channel that was running in MP started as preview from the beginning of the buffer file.
When i then closed the prewiev window MP screen froze

    Can not confirm this issue

    1. HTPC1: start live TV on a channel only mapped to card 1
    2. HTPC2: start live TV on a channel only mapped to card 2
    3. HTPC2: going to basic home, stop liveTV - stopped instantly
    4. HTPC1: still playing live tv nicely

re: stopping live TV on one client -> all live streams freezes

Ok, found a small hint in the logs.

21-02-2010 07:14:02.109 Recorder: TIMESHIFT start of audio detected
    21-02-2010 07:14:20.46 ChannelLinkageScanner: do callback
    21-02-2010 07:14:20.46 ChannelLinkageScanner: reset
    21-02-2010 07:24:57.171 ChannelLinkageScanner: reset
    21-02-2010 07:24:57.187 Recorder: TIMESHIFT Stop 'E:\timeshift\live3-0.ts.tsbuffer'
    21-02-2010 07:24:57.187 Recorder: TIMESHIFT Reset

There's a "channelLinkageScanner: reset" at the time, when "my" error occours! I disabled "Sky / CI" for my bug report, but forgot to disabel the linkage scanner.

After I disabled the "linkage scanner" the problem is gone. :D

Maybe someone can reproduce this "bug" with a marked linkage scanner !?

There's anyway a bug within the linkage scanner, so maybe "my" problem will be also solved with this bugfix.

I'll set a fixed to this thread later. (After some more tests to be sure the error is gone ;) )

Re: stopping live TV on one client -> all live streams freezes

    this is a know issue.

Yes, but the known issue didn't produce this error in multiseat setup. With MP 1.02 I never disabled the linkage scanner and never saw this error.

Maybe we'll give GEMX a hint for his bugfix.

EDIT: supplemented the title of the thread with "linkage scanner". Better to find if someone search such an error

indeed - just updated the mantis issue.

if gemx is not able to fix the issue - we will have to turn this feature off in code.

did you check using preview in TV Config?
I am using HTPC's as the original poster did - and i am not using the linkage scaner which triggers teh issue for him.

    allready updated the mantis report.

Re: stopping live TV on one client -> all live streams freezes (linkage scanner relat

I also confirm this. I could get it to happened to me when two clients where watching the same channel. One of the clients then turns off their TV and the other client freezes. I then tried to change the channel on the frozen client and it successfully changed channels but after a very long time. I have attached logs from the Client that froze.

This did not happen when they where watching different channels.
