I recently bought a MyBook 1 TB external disk to hook up to my HTPC because it was getting full.
The first thing I did after I hooked it up was re-format it to NTFS, and then I created two folders "Series 2" and "Movies 2", and shared those. I configured MP to get movies and TV series from those folders as well.
Here is the strange part. I can copy flies to those folders fine, from my regular computer, but when I try to extract files directly (with winrar) to one of the folders. The file never shows up. Winrar does its thing and doesn't give me any errors, but the file never shows up.
If I try to extract it again, winrar tells me there is already a file with that name, and asks if I want to replace it. I have set up explorer to show hidden files both on my HTPC and my other computer, and I can't see the file on either one.
The obvious workaround with extracting files localy and then moving them over, is too annoying. I need to figure out how to fix this. Please help.
