Hi,

I think this has always happened but now everything else is nearly perfect this has become more frustrating ;) When I change channels using channel up and down it usually changes ok but once I use the 'mini epg' to change channels it starts to play the buffer and usually takes about 30 seconds of the buffer before it changes the channel. Anyone else seen this?

Thanks

I believe this is caused by the time-shift functionality, but perhaps one of the MP support guys can confirm this for us. I imagine that when the channel is switch the time-shift buffer has to empty first before the next channel is shown.

    Cheers

Occasionally, my live tv seems to pause, then it quickly fast-forwards the buffer. Slightly hilarious :)

When changing channels, I first get a single frame from the next channel, frozen with poor de-interlacing, then the stream picks up.

I also have that problem. But I'm not sure if it only happens on the client (other PC than TV Server) or also on the client (same machine as TV Server).

it´s on all, clients and server (server is also a client, in the network as a localhost-client)

    What I ment:

server = TVServer service, runs on one machine
client = MP, can run on the same machine as server or on another (connected via network)

I was talking about the clients (definition see above).

Hope that clears it out. ;)

    I've been having similar problems.

If I watch tv for any length of time or skip back in the time shift, then try changing channel, the same segment of video replays over and over and it won't stop. somtimes I can close media portal, some times i have to do a hardware reboot!!

it is not affected by which tv card is in use as both have been set up alone and the same problem occurs.

    Really strange.
