strange dvd playback issue (1 Viewer)

Hi guys.. looking for ideas

Playing dvd's back (genuine purchased ones) i get about 30 - 40 minutes through the dvd and then it starts pausing and jumping, not a huge amount, but enough to be real irritating. pauses are about 1 second and then it jumps for a second or 2 after that.

codec used is Powerdvd 7.3 ones (including navigator and audio)

observation is that the dvd light blinks when it reads the dvd which i would expect, on a pause there is no light tho.

tried MPV and MPA as codecs and i dont get the issue... however.. the dvd light is Solidly on playing back with this codec no blinking. dont want to use it tho as playback is ropey at best with MPV (artifacting picture hopping etc)

anyone had something similar? Does the powerdvd codec have some way of slowing down the dvd drive?

any suggestions

Make sure that your DVD is running as "DMA"...I had to move my DVD-drive to another controller to get windows to use DMA....

DVD drive is running in DMA mode as it should be.. otherwise i wouldnt be able to play it back properly using mpv (minus the glitches )
