MediaPortal Version: 1.0
MediaPortal Skin: StreamedMP (Latest)
Windows Version: Vista 32x
CPU Type: AMD Ath 64x 3200
HDD: 2T
Memory: 3 gig
Remote: Logitech Harmony One (iMON receiver)

Hi Everyone,

I am currently using (should I say trying to use) the StreamedMP skin with TVseries and MovingPictures. It is a fantastic skin, easy to setup etc however my installation keeps crashing.

The buttons begin to lag and then begin cycling through their own options. When I try to close it ignores the request and even interferes with the PC on my primary monitor if I try to shut down normally. Only fix is to reboot from the case.

I would normally presume this is just a software issue (ie: Media Portal) however I have tried some other skins which work perfectly fine so I believe it is something o do with StreamedMP.

Just wondering if anyone else has had strange issues with this skin or if it is just me? Please let me know if you have any ideas.

:D

Ok... So after some more exhaustive reading through the forums, my issue seems to be a common one.

I found reference to the issue being a MediaPortal issue and that it should be fixed in the 1.1 release. Does that sound right to anyone out there?

I only ask because MediaPortal is not usable with this issue and I don't want to have to wait until the 1.1 release date (March 15th) unless I have to.

Logitech may be at fault for repeat commands

Hi... After reading and partaking in further discussions on this issue, it seems my issue may be caused by the remote itself (either Logitech harmony One or IMON).

So this is the symptom:
I can get into MP (using StreamedMP skin), click on Moving Pictures (with fanart enabled) and use the back button on my Harmony One remote which is programed to work as ESCAPE through the IMON settings. If I do this, more often than not it will repeat the same command over and over again. If I manage to close MP down, the same command interfers with Windows (ie: if Back button is pressed, everything tries to close down in Windows).

This leaves MP completely unusable, at first I thought it was MP issues however after partaking in this post: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-support-51/bizarre-command-repeat-issue-54079/index2.html it would appear to be a remote issue.

The best explanation of my issue (and the other people in the above forum) can be found on the link above from fujistick. Covers off all the issues perfectly except my issue happens everytime I use MP without fail.

If anyone has any ideas on this or has experienced the same problem, please post a reply. :D
