When I play an internet stream within Media Portal, after a while it stops and the program seems to stop responding, however i can still get the topbar up if i use the mouse. I tried playing a internet radio stream in Media Player 10 but after about 5 minutes it buffers, gets to about 10% and then the program stops responding. I have broadband internet and i am on wireless, but the signal strength is usually 3 to 5 bars. from Good to Excellent strength. So that can't be why.

Any info on what might be causing this?

Thanks :)

well one of my computers connects at 54mbps. suggesting G, but the rest of my computers are only connected at 11mbps, yet they all use the same card lol well except my laptop but that only connects at 11, even tho it supports G.

It was working fine not long ago but now it just doesn't like streaming. The internet side of things, well its 4MB Cable Broadband with upload speed of 512kps. tho thats server dependent obviously

i might check for adware/spyware which might be affecting streaming media. I've noticed my Digital TV Tuner has become a bit more stuttery than usual, even tho the signal is okay. a complete system restore might be whats needed.

Yeah - Keep that baby cleaned up. ;)

Asfar as the B ang G - It's my understanding, and I may verywell be wrong, but if you have mixed, B and G on the network, it can potentially drop all your G connections down to B. Some Mixed modes have been known to do this. Maby disable the other computers, and change the mode to only "G" in your router.
