Streaming over home network (1 Viewer)

Hello all,
ive had a good search around with no luck, but sorry if im repeating something that has been asked heaps.
Can anyone please walk me through streaming from one laptop to another over my home wireless?
My situation is i have one laptop plugged in in my lounge with a usb DVB-T 2 dongle and was hoping to stream to another room (different laptop) using my wifi, is this possible?

Are you using MediaPortal?
If yes, setup TVServer on one laptop and the media portal client on the other. Called multiseat setup. Wifi is not best, but for SD should work, HD depends on the wireless throughput that you can realize (WLAN n standard?)
