I have a TV server connected to a number of clients via a gigabit network, these all work fine with all channels, even HD. My problem is that I have one machine with a wireless (54g) connection, and this simply isn’t fast enough to stream HD. Unfortunately, I have no way of getting any other kind of connection to it, so is there a way for this machine only to increase the size of the buffer so I am able to watch TV properly. I don’t mind a delay watching live TV, just don’t want it to jump all the time.

Hi, I know of wireless hubs and cards with two or three channels. Each channel is a 54G. These channels can be combined to increase speed. So a 11mb becomes a 33mb and so on. I have had to use this solution in the past myself and it works like a charm. The only thing to keep in mind is that the more wireless devices you have the more the line is depleted.

I have listed a link to a D-Link card which delivers upto 300mb's AWSOME

DWA-556: Wireless N PCIe Desktop Adapter - Wireless G adapter, USB network adapter and many more network adapters from D-Link, from D-Link Home

    Cheers

    I hope this helps
