    Hi stsc,

is this for single or for multi-seat? Means to you have stuttering on client or on server too?

I am absolutely no expert on such problems, but I have the following ideas:

    1. Did you apply a clean install with latest SVN's?
    2. Do you use latest drivers of TV-Cards?
    3. Is there anything weird in the logs? Please post them with clean install.
    4. What about CPU-Load when stuttering?
    5. Try to play stream with VLC (look at wiki how-to). Stuttering too?

Thats all that came to my mind... :)

I think that I have found the issues:

    1. PC with Athlon 2400+ and Twinhan 1020A (with BDA Driver)
Signal strength is about 60%, seems a little bit to low for that card. Picture is blocky (the decoder tries to compensate the bad signal and the picture is stuttering?) and MP has issues to lock the channels.

    2. HTPC P3-S 1133 with SkyStar2 (Nvidea Decoder)
Signal strength is also about 60%, but the SkyStar2 seems to work better. In other applications like DreamDVB I have no issues at all with locking, MediaPortal has it, but less than with the Twinhan 1020A.
But the main problem is that with MP TVE3 I have a CPU load of almost 100% and when I'm switching the channel the picture is stuttering. With DreamDVB I have about 60-65% CPU load and I also have no stuttering issues with TVE2.

Any ideas how to decrease my CPU Load?
