This is the what I have Done and What the Outcome is. I hope someone can help :)

I have setup a HP Server with the Two Tuner Cards in it and the TVEngine 3 installed.
I have a Mediaportal Client that talks to it. It all works perfectly except when streaming recorded TV from the server to the client. Both the Audio and Video Stutters. If I map the drive and play the recoceded Mpeg files through "My Videos" they play perfectly. If it is done from "Recorded TV", it stutters. The Server is on a Gigabit Connection and the Client is on a 100mb Connection. I have set the Priority on the server to "Above Normal"

This is bit of a bugger as it is stopping me from using this full time

I have tried using both the MPV and MPA codecs as well as the Dscaler codecs. Anyone got any ideas?

I also have a recoeded file from Channel 10 here in australia that the Audio doesnt play on when played via the Network Streaming. Again, when I Play it through "My Videos" it plays fine :)

I have included the log files from the client and the server.

Change Video Format?

Looks as tho changing the the TV engine to save as a ts instead of Mpeg may be the Fix, I will confirm it tonight:)

Also, Streaming Live TYelevision via the Network Streaming is Pefect, no stuttering , no dropputs.

Confirmed, If the Server is using the TS format it streams recorded TV perfectly. Change the Server to use MPG and recorded TV Stutters :)

I guess I'll use the TS format for now :)

I have a similar problem using MP1.0.0.0 however i am already recording as .ts files

    TVSever running XP

    Client running Vista

Play a recording on client using My TV -> Recorded TV -> Stuttering Audio

Play a recording on client using My Videos and browsing to the Mediaportal recording directory on network share -> No Stutter

I also get stuttering audio with Live TV on the Vista client

It is not related to system specs, because my vista machine is twice as powerful. Both situations have the same graph so it can't be a codec issue (PDVD8 H264 / Monogram AAC)
