From a little searching of the info base here I've found I need the Haali Media Splitter to switch audio streams in Media Portal, and that once it's installed, there should be nothing to configure in MP, I just use the red or green buttons on my MCE remote to change the stream. But...question!

What about subtitles? I watch a lot of videos, the ones with soft-subs use a container like .ogg or .mkv and some have multiple sub option (TS & SRT) & some have multiple audio streams. Is there an easy way that, using just the MCE remote I have, I can switch between subs or turn them off, & switch between audio streams?

:D

Also, one other problem I just realized. My Microsoft MCE remote doesn't, er, have those colored buttons. In this case, which ones do I use?

    Hi,

Hildebrandt: Yes, please take a look into the FAQ. Download and install Haali, do not forget to tick "AVI" as supported format.

You can change the mappings of your remotes in Configure->Remote->MCE

The action is called NEXT_SUBTITLE or something like this, its usually on the yellow button (if you have coloured ones :))

    Flip.
