Would it be possible to have an option in the configuration to use the current settings used by Windows. All of my media playback works perfectly in all products except for Media Portal so really I want it to do the same with no changes whatsoever (which would reduce my install time down from 4 months to 4 minutes and make me very happy).

I understand that the MP options are far more sophisticated than config on other products but that might just be the problem.

The setting you suggest already exists, in the configuration go to Videos->Video Player and check the option 'Automatic Decoder Settings', this will then use the settings used by Windows as you require.
