    Hello!

I am looking for a suitable mainboard to set up a TV server. As I am planning on using a larger number of receivers this board should match the following requirements:

    • 3 PCI slots
    • 4 PCIe slots (1x)
    • video on board (VGA will do it)
    • 6 SATA ports
    • 1 IDE connector
    • AMD preferred (AM2, AM2+, AM3)
I shall be very happy if someone could give me some hints, because by now I didn't find such a mainboard.

    Regards

    Axel

    Well, thanks for the hint!

    But I found these:

    Board 1 and Board2

Just have to make sure, that i can use a PCIe 1x device (TV card) in a PCIe 16x slot - theoretically it should be working...

    Regards

    Axel

Using x1 in x16 will work, but why not using a dual DVB card. Saves two slots.

Oh - I am talking dual tuner cards :) The setup should be 4 x Terratec 2400i dt, 2 x KNC ONE DVB-C and 1 x Hauppauge PVR 500 in one TV server.
