Does anyone know whether Terratec Cinergy S7 (USB with integrated CI) would work with Mediaportal for decoding scrambled channels? I know that Cinergy S2 is listed as supported, but not sure whather is includes the S7 (I already got dissapointed with Anysee...). Thanks!

I will extend the query further: which USB tuners with CI for DVB-S would you recomment as compatible with MP?

Thanks for the prompt reply. I think I will try the TT S2 3650 as it is significantly cheaper.

OK , so I got the TT S2 3650 CI, installed with MP1.2RC on WHS2011 64 server and XP client, and it does not perform without problems.

Tried with various drivers:

1.0.3.7 - original from the disc - very frequent 'scrambled channel' error
1.0.3.8 - same as above
1.0.2.20 - same as above
1.0.2.9 from Salteco - no 'scramble' error, but the MP freezes and stops responding randomly when changing channel, with 'lost TV server connection' info in the end.

    Hi Plotyn

I'm sorry to here of the problems. Please provide logs using the watchdog so that I can help you.

    1. On the client, find the "debug mode" link in the "Team MediaPortal" folder in your start menu and start it.
    2. Select option 1 "report a bug..." and click "proceed".
    3. Reproduce the problem by attempting to view live TV and change channels a couple of times (maximum of 5 changes please).
    4. Close MP. A zip file containing the logs will be created on the desktop.
    5. Go to the server and open TV Server configuration.
    6. In the top left hand corner click "open log directory".
    7. Zip up all the files you find there.
    8. Post both zip files here.
