It is a great thing that MP supports motorized dishes using diseqc 1.2 (or positioner).
I was wondering if there are plans to support USALS...
With USALS, you need to enter the longitude and latitude of your location and the application takes care of driving the dish to the sat. of your choice.
Meaning you won't have to worry about looking for and storing sat. positions anymore...
:D

    Bump, and I second this..

Really could do with USALS support, I could ditch my Dreambox 8000HD then...

I have been lurking around MP for almost three years, and it's amazing how far they've gone, but it is simply disappointing that the request for USALS support is being ignored despite the many that have asked already...

Being quite interested in usals, I would suggest that it is more important to polish features which do not have any substitute, eg combination of motor and several LNBs, other complex trees without loosing epg, etc. and rather than add usals which is not that needed for core dvbs functionality.

I guess it's a question of opinion... a combination of motor and several LNBs sounds much more complicated than the USALS itself, both in terms of setup and ease of use.
Most of the normal DVB programs I know do have good USALS support. DVBViewer, DVBprog, DVBdream... to name a few...
