Suspend/Hibernate while watching TV (1 Viewer)

Hi...I've read several discussions about putting the TVEngine 3 into Suspend / Hibernate mode, but how can I do that while watching live TV? I realize that it's probably disabled to prevent accidental shutdown to all clients but is there a way to force it? A setting somewhere maybe? or maybe a script? After the TV puts me into a near sleeping coma, it would be nice to hit the power button on my remote to shut everything down (amp, tv, mediaPC) all at once.

Thanks in advance!

I checked "force tv server ( or system ) to shut down" option (or similar to that, sorry, dont have in my mind right now) in the power scheduler options. If i set my imon remote windows settings to suspend on power button is goes into standby even while watching tv. Just needs a bit longer - about 6 sec.

If tvplugin Not installed the pc will suspend when having powerscheduler enabled. Maybe this is the Problem.

I have the same problem... I have to swtich off TV before the system will go into standby. Even when I select standby from the MediaPortal main menu, it doesn't work, unless the TV Watching is stopped.

This problem started when I started using TV Server / Client (on the same machine).

I understood from a few related posts, that this is considered to be a "feature" rather than a problem...

I use the standby functionality to quickly shut off/ switch on my HTPC. I basically can't switch off my TV anymore, unless I go to the main menu and press STOP a few times, to make sure the TV stream is stopped.

That's just stupid! Can't it be changed such that (optionally) TV-streams are automatically stopped when Standby is pressed?

Has this been looked into any more?
I think the functionality should be
If you are just watching TV the computer should go into standby/shutdown instantly
If you are Recording/ Recording and watching TV it shouldnt do anything (Or ask "You are currently recoding are you sure you want to suspend/shutdown)
