Hi

I am having problems with the power scheduler.
I have it disabled and my system still goes into standby (also vista standby is disabled.)

The standby is only happening after my system is idle for approx 15 minutes (close to my previous power scheduler settings

How can i check what is making the system go into standby ?

I tried various power scheduler settings both in client and server but nothing keeps my system awake

I don't know if this helps but you could try to activate the power scheduler plugins (in tv server and client) but configure them so the don't go in standby.

Make sure both the TVServer powerscheduler and the MP powerscheduler client plugins are disabled.

After that, it must be windows that is causing the shutdown, if no other programs are running.

    Same problem here.

The system is going into standby even if it is not idle, like in the middle of DVD playback ...

This started after I moved the TVserver from the media center PC to the media server PC in the attick. I have disabled the power scheduler and XP power saver. Now what?

    i have windows standby thisabled

and tried mp powerscheduler disabled and tvpowerscheduler disabled.
also tried both enabled with tick box off.
also tried mp powerscheduler of and tvserver power scheduler on with option standby mode stay on,
also tried mp poerscheduler on with tick box disabled and tv server power scheduler option standby mode stay on

and some more flavours but nothing works.
i now also installed mce stanbytool and in there put everything to stay on . This worked for a full day then after recorded one schedule and in the middle of the second schedule (schedules right after each other) went to sleep

Are there any other users, who may have different settings to you with access to this pc, ie its got multiple users with admin rights, that might be the only thing I can think of.

Have found that even my original setup account with Vista (admin privileges), affected my full blown admin account, deleting original account resolved this.

I have solved the issue that I had.

As I said, I had moved the TVserver to another computer but left it also installed on the client (I'm affraid to break the client when I uninstall the TVserver). It was the power scheduler of the unused TVserver that caused the problem.

Strange that the TVserver does not shut the PC down when it is connected to the client, but it does when it is not ...

    Hope this helps others.

vdr so only removing the tvserver solved the problem ? THis means disabling powerscheduler in tvserver has no effect ?

    Sorry, I wasn't very clear.

I still did not remove the TVserver. I just disabled the TVserver power scheduler (is that the correct name) plugin.

Three power schedulers on one system (MP client, TVserver and XP), I just lost track ...

So, this may not be the problem you are experiencing.
