Hi,

I'm thinking of using an XP Tablet PC as a client for Media Portal, in the kitchen of my house.

Firstly, has anyone done something like this with a Tablet before? If so, how successful was the touchscreen interface?

Secondly, I want to place it under a cupboard, so it flips down; can the orientation on Tablets be changed, i.e. so that however it flips down, the picture will be the 'right' way up?

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
Cheers!

Yes you can on most if not all models...

if your tablet pc has tilt sensors or you are able to attach some it shouldnt be hard to get the your desktop to rotate. i assume that you need a plug in for mp in order to work properly. i think mp uses dx which would adjust the resolution etc seperately from the desktop. so if the desktop just turs there is a good chance that mp wont or the resolution will be messed up.

since im more of a hardware guy the statement above should be treated as an assumption based on observation so dont hang me if im wrong ;)
