[confirm] takes ages to first tune (1 Viewer)

not sure what is going on here but recently I have been having huge delays trying to tune to a channel when I first watch TV.

In tv.log you have

when I first try to watch TV (select channel via guide) then you get

which is roughly what I would expect (although it should say the DVB-T cards cannot tune to channel as it does the other way around ??) then

but then you get a 10 second delay and

so took 1 min 17 seconds to tune

I know the signal level of 0 is being returned by the BDA driver but looking at the picture I would say signal strength is actually good.

So I guess question is why it took so long to tune and why do the logs make it look like it is trying disabled cards?

First tune is fine here, and I have not had chance to check logs, but I thought I should let you know.

Channel change for me are as follows

First tune 3-4 seconds from homescreen

Changing channels 2 seconds, so have seen that a lot faster, in fact 1.0.2 was 1 second, this is with RC1 and no modified files.

Then tried with modified Core.dll from this post and still the same speed https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...playing-problems-rc1-tv-radio-avi-dxva-78501/

Someone else reported low tuning speeds, pretty sure it was a pinnacle card, just cannot find the post, what happens if you disabled the 7010, any improvement then.

this is intermittent and only on first tune. The DVB-T tuners on the Pinnacle card are currently disabled. Looking at the logs the first tune atempt was to a Peak DVB-T card (and I am fairly sure that is the card that eventually tuned in)

Just seems odd why it kept trying a succession of cards (including looking at disabled ones).

Is called at 52:11 but it is after that it starts talking about searching for other tuners

the delay seems to be when it starts throwing up
