TBS Quad Tuners - Any Comments?? (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

I am currently collecting the components for my standalone server. This will be a dedicated TV Server with about 8 TB storage that will feed 3 clients and also my DAW. This will stop the current HTPC in the lounge acting as the media server and will also provide 1:1 backup of data.

I am looking to add the following TV tuner cards:-

TBS 6984 Quad DVB-S/S2

TBS 6284 Quad DVB-T/T2

I currently have a TBS 6980 which has been rock solid, hence the choice of TBS again. Does anybody have any comments, either good or bad, on the two cards??

Can't comment directly on the quad, but I have 2 x 6981 dual DVB-S/S2 cards installed in mine and they're great. No problems at all.

mm is in contact with tbs and implemented already proper ci support and all that stuff. Currently there are still some really minor problems.
But there is no exact time at the moment when it will be released, sorry for that...

Got a TBS6984 at home and it is working a treat. Fingers crossed. The drivers are getting better and the support is getting better too.
