Hi,
I'm thinking of buying the "Technotrend CT-3650 C/T" card.
Anyone have any experience with this card?
I couldn't find any drivers/support on Technotrends website... :confused:

    Hi,

    I have good experience with this USB DVB-C/T:
    1. it works (not 100% -> I have a problem when disconnecting another USB device the TT does not work anymore (restart tv service) and resuming from hibernation does not work (needs restart), preloading the card(s) does not work) -> this can also be due to my setup
    2. we 'have' Morpheus_xx as a developer taking special care of us TT users ;)

    I use it in full production (ahum) in a multi seat environment (server and two clients).

    hope this helps.
    regards,
    Ruud.

    I think, I'll swap my Terratec Cinergy HTC USB XS HD + Cinergy CI USB for this one then...

    I swapped to a "Technotrend CT-3650 C/T", but I'm a little confused of what I need to install...
    * Normal MediaPortal 1.0.2 install?
    * MP 1.0.2 + some TechnoTrend plugins?
    * MediaPortal 1.1.0 Alpha?

    MediaPortal 1.02. should be enough, feel free to use 1.10 Alpha but keep in mind it's Alpha;)

    I was able to scan for channels and the scrambled decrypt fine, but after changing channel 1-2 times, I get "Unable to start timeshifting/channel is scrambled". :(

    just returned my Ct3650...

    Hi folks,

    I had also purchased this card two weeks ago but could not get it to work in Windows 7 RC, neither in MediaPortal 1.1.0 Alpha nor in W7 MediaCenter. Also the included software (TT Viewer, a custom version of DVB Viewer) could not tune to any DVB-C channels, only DVB-T. I had to return to the seller, hope to get a full refund.
    I think the reason ist the hybrid DVB-C/DVB-T tuner thas has to be set to the corrct mode. Only the included TT Mediacenter found my DVB-C channels, but that program is crap, can't do without MP.

    Hi, when I first installed my TT I used the latest driver from the web. Had a lot of problems (Scanning did not work all the time, instable etc.) installing driver 1.0.2.20 solved all of these issues and the TT is running without problems.
    Only problem is that when my TV server wakes up from hibernation the TT is not usable and a reboot is needed: for this I wrote a small cmd script that reboots the server after wakeup.

    I have been running this setup for several months now without any problems.

    Hope this helps,

    regards,
    Ruud.

    I have exactly this problem, but I am afraid that I do not know enough about this yet to understand your solution. :confused: Could you please tell me in more detail what to do and possibly share your script?

    Otherwise I am very happy with the card. I have only used DBV-T for free channels so far but it installed nicely without any problem. I have been experimenting during the summer trying to get my system to work where the DVB-T signals are very weak. With the old borrowed card I had I got a signal but jumpy due to the poor reception. I used an indoor antenna (against proffessional advice telling me it will not work in that area) but when I got the new TT card it works perfect! Even in heavy rain which can otherwise destroy a weak signal it is perfect! So if you have this problem I can really recommend it!

    Hello Sara,

    with the risk of hi-jacking this thread ;)

    In the TVserver setup (please note that I run a multi seat setup) under plugins, power scheduler / advanced tab, I have checked "Reinitialize service on wakeup (also reinitializes tuner)' and 'Run command before standby / after wakeup': c:\wakeup.cmd (attached)

    The cmd reboots your server this takes some time, so you should take that time into account when setting the time before your recording starts (pre wakeup).

    hope this helps...

    regards,
    Ruud.

    Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?
