When using the TV Server, Media Portal will consistently hang (go CPU bound) after stepping through 8 pages of Teletext. It does not matter which channel, FTA or scrambled.

Note also that this is different from the "teletext, fullscreen" issue (Thread "TV engine .3: Teletext freezes MP-Controls").

For example:

1) open MP
2) go to myTV
3) select a FTA channel, for example BVN on Astra 19.2E. The small video screen appears right.
4) still in small screen mode, select "teletext" at the bottom of the left menu, wait for page 100
5) when page 100 appears, press "+" 8 times. (You should be on page 108 now)
6) so far so good, now press "+" once more

=> the next page never appears; MP no longer responds; TaskManager shows that the CPU use is maxed out for MediaPortal.exe. Interestingly enough, the small video screen in the low left corner remains alive.

You have to kill MP with task manager to get it to close.

I've attached my TV.log

Note that I found another report of this problem here:
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/teletext-t14393.html?t=14393&highlight=teletext+freezes

but I don't see it in the bug database.

Additional information:

1) SVN 14010 had exactly the same problem. SVN 14010 and 14156 are the only ones I have worked with.

2) if MP SVN 14010 is running standalone, then the teletext works fine.

Johan.

I can't find this bug in mantis. Do more than us 2 have the problem?

There's a third person at least (member = sdf, see the link in my first post) :)

I do suspect this is a universal problem.

How do bugs end up in mantis ? Or better : who does that ? Can any forum member do that or is that reserved to a certain group of people ?

Thanks,
Johan.

I can confirm this one as well, no evidency in logging, the client simply stops responding in any way whenever you go up 8 pages, haven't seen any SVN where this bug is solved/non existing.

ow, my "My HTPC" signature is outdated, don't look at the svn versions there please :)

kind regards

I'm the first who had the problem.
Client crashes to me when I go ahead 4 or 5 pages only.
The problem is still there

Any moderator that can confirm issue and put it in Mantis so the devs see it?
