This issue was reported earlier in a svn thread but didn't get the attention it deserved so I decided to create a proper bug report. I can confirm that the problem also exists in build 19936.

This happens to me every time I switch from TV with teletext subtitle to a video in My Videos. I guess the subtitle handling is not shut off and a single big "subtitle" is shown.

Switching from a TV channel without subtitles to a video is OK.
I also tried different audio/video decoders but they all have this problem.
It's not a new issue for this SVN. I've had it for a long time.
To switch to a video after watching TV I have to restart MP first and then the video shows as normal.

Never seen this before, does it only happens when you try to play a .mkv after watch TV?

    Hi ronilse

I tried playing .mkv, .avi, .dvr-ms and .mpg in My Video after watching TV and it happens to all of them. Even if stopping TV and then playing a video. Now using build 20078.

However I now noticed that .ts does NOT have this error!

    Here's what I did:
    1. Watching TV with teletext subs - Normal video
    2. Starting a .mkv, .avi, .dvr-ms or .mpg from My Video - Big white 4x3 screen
    3. Playing a .ts file from My Video - Normal video
    4. Playing a .mkv, .avi, .dvr-ms or .mpg from My Video - Normal video

Could my problem be changing from TSReader to another file source filter?

    Hi,
Could my problem be changing from TSReader to another file source filter?

You have to test that but it could be the cause..

How can I test that? I thought that was what I were doing when changing from TV to non-ts Video :)

    Hi,
I read it a bit fast as in that you used another filesource filter then TSReader ;)
Not able to reproduce it so far, but that could be me not doing it the correct way....

I found a workaround. If I also enable DVB subtitles the issue is gone. Even if the channel doesn't use DVB subtitles I can now switch from a teletext channel to My Videos correctly.

The problem still exists when only having teletext subtitles enabled though. Tried build 20268 in both Vista and XP and both have this issue.

This is still an issue! Can any developer have a look at this??
