Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT not recognized by MP (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
After little difficulties installing MP (more or less intuitively driven), I found the video tutorial of 5 parts on this site and was amazed how smoothly it walked me through. I could have never found all the steps myself without this video, and I followed it thoroughly during the download and the installation and configuration - up to video 3!

In the tutorial video 3 it asks me to launch the MP TV-Server and unfold the item "TV-Server", where it should show "client 1" and eventually my TV-card. Only in my "MP TV-Server", there is nothing to unfold, it simply does not recognize my Terratec card. Everything I found in this forum did not help resolve this situation (wrong description in the capturecard-file seems not to apply, graphedit does not teach me differently as far as I can understand this).

Interestingly, it is not the card since it works with Terratec home cinema (delivered with the card) as well as with Power Cinema 5 demo-version.

I am hanging at this step of the installation and would like the MPTV-Server to recognize the card so that I could proceed with the video (next would be to scan for channels). Can someone please help me if you have experience with this card or know what is wrong?

Below is my configuration.
thanks a lot.

This is just to make sure... You installed the BDA drivers? Have you tried without the TV-server?

I am running 2400DTi and it works nice, with both the TVserver and TVE2.

    Hi,

I have not installed the BDAs "purposely". I installed everything that came with the TV-card and assumed that BDA was among it.
I have tried to install MP under "Downloads", the latest version, and just went on. I got the program running, but when scanning for channels, this took only a fraction of a second with no channels found. This must have been with the TVserver program. TVE2 (?).

I found a number of other people with problems with this card in this forum. Did you do anything special to get it up and running?

    thanks for your help!

    Hi,
I only install drivers since other things are not needed for MP to be able to use it & it was like a out of the box experience, no probs @ all :)

Hello, I got some problem with this card too.

I installed BDA drivers only and I scan channels on both tuner but it detect to signal for each channel. Is it not possible to have only one channel and MP select the unused tuner to record or to show it ?

    Regards,
    Swinghc

I have this card and is very pleased with it... Not using TV server though - just the standard MP stuff - considering tinkering with the server...
I installed this driver for the card: BDA Driver 1.0.3.260 - DLed it from the terratec homepage... You might wanna give it a try...
Re.: Swinghc - It does this because you have 2 tuners - last card i had wad dual tuner hauppage - this did the exactly same... Don't think there a workaround for it... If you find one, let me know...
