    Hi Folks,

despite MediaPortal is the best Mediacenter I've ever used, I'm experiencing some troubles with my TV Card (Terratec Cinergy S2 HD CI).

    What works:
Channelscan in TVServer Config (finds a lot of channels, not all, but a lot)
    TVServer recognizes the right TV-Card

    What don't work:
    Preview: Unable to Start Graph
MediaPortal MyTV (turning on TV): Unable to start graph + Unable to start timeshift

    What I've tried:
switching from Vista Ultimate 64bit to Vista Ultimate 32bit and finally to WinXP Prof. 32bit
    installing the latest terratec-drivers (xxx.301)
installing an older terratec-driver (as mentioned in the supported tv cards wiki, 1.xxx.601)
installing the drivers from the cd
installing the drivers for Skystar HD2 (should be the same chipset)
    switching to MySQL from MSSQL2005
    using alternative codecs
uninstalling / not installing the CI drivers, IR drivers

TV-Card works fine with the Terratec Cinema blah.. and PowerCinma 6, but within MediaPortal I get the mentioned errors.. gets me really annoying..

I've ordered a FloppyDTV for over 200€ now, but I still want to use the Terratec Cinergy S2 HD CI in the future, because it's not worth selling it and a multicard-system could be nice for recording..

I've also read all the threads out there in this and in other boards, but noone has exactly the same problem I have resp. none of the solutions posted out there work for me.

Any suggestions? If not I maybe crack this f** TV Card and burn it..

Really annoying, because I wanted to sell my Arion 8000 HD CI and use my HTPC for recording reasons..

I already read this thread, but that's not exactly my problem. The guys in that thread can at least watch one channel or get it to work sometimes. I don't even achieve this and I was never ever able to watch anything (doesn't matter which channel or version of TV-Server / MP).

Hopefully the FloppyDTV will work better.. I don't want to lose MP and use some other crap..

The most recent driver I can find is 1.1.1.301, even on their FTP there are only 2 drivers.. 1.1.0.601 & 1.1.1.301. But I already read in some boards, that there sould be a 1.1.1.501 out there with an wrong timestamp (nov08), but I really can't find it..

Has someone maybe the .501 driver and would be so kind to mail it to bernhard.berger@gmail.com? Would be very greatful folks!

//Edit: ok, found the driver in another section of the FTP: ftp://ftp.terratec.de/Receiver/Cine.../Cinergy_S2_PCI_HD_Drv_Vista_XP_1.1.1.501.exe

I was looking inside the PCI HD CI directory.. will test it now.

//Edit2: Same problem again! "Unable to start graph". I really hate this card now..

Are you using the default recording\timeshifting folders, this may be your issue, you may have a user permissions thing, easiest way of finding out is follow below instructions.

Create new recording folder, say in your documents, then put a "timeshift folder" inside the one you just created, now put that information into the relevant setting under TVServer config\Recording settings\recording folder, there needs to be at least 2gb of free hard disk space, preferably lots more :).

I would now reboot, once done open config\channels and see if you can now preview channels.

That's a bummer, can you upload logs, using the logs collector under the mediaportal start menu, then using the forum advanced + feature attach to post so someone can take a look.

Have you tried importing an old channel list? I was getting the same errors as you - after a scan it found everything but then i could not preview or watch anything - all failed with unable to start graph errors.

Then i imported an old channels xml exprt i took with an older version 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 i think and they all started working again (sort of) i just get no audio sometimes and have to go up and down a channel to get the audioi back.
