I am also thinking about getting TerraTec H7 and would really like to know if anyone tried this equipment? And furthermore if anyone tried it in combination with the swedish cable TV-provider ComHem?

Bump!

Nobody tried this with MP? Also interested to know if this tuner will work with swedish provider Comhem? Especially for the Pay Channels... Having a Anysee C30 atm that doesn't work well with either RC1 or RC2 so i'm still on SVN 24669....Thinking of trying a another tv-card and the H7 specs looks good.

Regards

I received the Terratec H7 this week. I am trying to scan for channels in Mediaportal, both predefined and manual, but after the tuner has found all 24 transponders and I answer "yes" for scanning for channels, the tvserverconfiguration crashes. I am using an old driver as recommended by Morpheus, but so far no luck.
Update: I installed the DVB hotfix and suddenly the tuner scanned all my channels without a problem. I use a smartwi card with a Dilog CA module to encrypt my pay channels. I have a small issue I will try to solve though - I get random video freezes for a second every now and then. Perhaps once every minute or so. I will test if the original access card solves the problem.

I have the h7 and PCI HD and works wel. There is an issue with EVR and stuttering. I dont think it has to do with these cards. What's the "DVB hotfix"?

It is a fix to ensure that Win XP works with DVB cards. Otherwise you will get the problems I had with scanning the channels. :)
Placing the Comhem smartcard in the H7 removes the freezes, so I'm happy now!
torbjorns: Which version of drivers are you using for the H7? I am using 00.05.101 with XP 32 and MP1.0.2. I wonder if it is safe to try the new beta from the Terratec homepage?

Update:There are still freezes for a second at random intervals. They appear once or a couple of times every minute. Anybody got an idea what might be wrong? Both on recordings and live tv.

    Hello,

I have two Terratec H7 connected to my system. They work fine picture and sound are perfect.

I have a few little problems but i don't know if they are related to the H7. All channels dit come up in the scan but there are a few channels that dont work and give me a ts.buffer error.

i life in the netherlands and my provider is Kabel noord witch uses CI+.

I suggest you post logs as well :)

@Hassegubben. I used the D.L. checker 1.2 for any problems with latency according to video/audio streams. With that tool I discovered that it was the CÍ module with inserted CAM/Conax(for my Cinergy PCI HD card) that caused heavy latency. Now I have only one DVB-C card left, the H7, other removed. Changing codecs finally gave me nice strait lines with [shift+1] key on the H7. BUT the playback is still choppy on some channels, like your freeze thing I guess. Have you solved that problem?

I tried everything I could think of. Sadly the tuner never stopped freezing. I am not surprised the CI is the guilty part. Either that or the EPG grabbing, which caused MP to crash. Turning off the EPG grabbing stopped the crashing. But the freezing remained. I moved the tuner to a separate PC and started using Terratec HomeCinema. What a waste of time. The driver froze the PC as soon as the signal was not perfect. And Powercinema caused tons of hangs as well. After hundreds of powercycles of the tuner and equally many restarts of the PC, I have now sent a message to Dustin that I want to have the product switched. The software and drivers are not mature. I even contacted Terratec support. They told med to change USB drivers, which I did, but the problems remained. No more Terratec for me. Now that FloppyDTV has started selling again I will immediately order a couple of those tuners. :)
