Plugins do work in general. And the feature asked for is not even plugin related (and it is working btw. ;), with only few differences to MP1 way)

I've tried this but could not get a single plugin to work. Not even to show up in SetupTV.
This plugin wouldn't show in TV Server configuration. It is a TV library custom device (tuner extension) plugin.

[edit: ...which is normal for custom device plugins. Only the Digital Devices and SmarDTV CI plugins have a user interface for configuration in TV Server configuration (like XMLTV, PowerScheduler etc.). There may be issues getting "normal" TV Server plugins like XMLTV, WebEPG etc. to work, but not TV library plugins.]

I've installed just MP2-Server on a Windows Server 2008 R2 server and it works without issue. However, if I install the SlimTV-Native server plugin (I did not copy over the client portion included in the zip file) the MP2-Server service refuses to start complaining of an unsupported platform. Is this intended?

For SlimTV native service the same compatibility restrictions known from MP1-TvServer apply. There are already many topics about platform and BDA support etc.

Anyway I consider to either remove or "relax" this compatibility warning when running inside MP2-Server. A clear warning in log should be enough.

I've updated the first post with new test installers of SlimTV/MPExtended!

Now both threads (MPExtended+NativeTV) are up to date and ready for testing :)
