as a very big newbie to mediaPortal but an old fashion user of WMC,
living in germany, i have 50% german movies. 50% english as i love to watch orignials, too
thought there is no media center, that let me use 2 languages without writing all tags by myself..
tryed a lot.. until
i REALLY REALLY FELT IN LOVE WITH MEDIA PORTAL from the very first moment.
it looks like to forums are full of friendly support and teamwork
a very special thanks goes to the creators of:
- mediaPortal (so much more flexible and even more easy than WMC. best part is moving menu entries to other places !

- moving pictures (managing even my german movies. giving me great automization with this perfect import function)
- streamedMP (a really descent and nice skin usable in a living room. with the fastest support ever, hehe )
- MP-TV series (for letting me fall in love again with all my favourite series.)
- Showtimes (for supporting my hometowns cinemas!)

and since today i love backdrops
and i really love how you all guys in all sections bring so much effort, making everything easy to use and fully automated
even my girlfriend liked to play with the tv instead of beeing grumbly FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME !
