And has always done so. Now that I've taken the VCR and the old CD/DVD player out of the equation, the EO has accidentally managed to switch to Windowed mode with me not being around - Not very good for the WAF..

I'm using a standard EU MCE remote with IR trans - I've tried removing "EHOME" from the apps.cfg file in Program Files\IR Trans - no help..

What do I need to disable this annoying behaviour... I haven't touched any settings in MP, only followed the guide to using the MCE remote with IR Trans....

I was under the impression that the "Green Button" should switch between Home and BHS...

Cheers, And thanks,
/Steff

Mmm... Played around a little bit with the mapping in MP Setup under IR Trans, and changing what the "Start" button do does change MPs behaviour - It doesn't, however, in no way change the Fulscreen to Windowed and back switching.

So it looks like it's something not really related to MP. Thing is, if I hit the "Green Button" with no apps running, absolutely nothing happens...

Ideas anyone ?,

Cheers,
/Steff

disable all windows media center services:
delete the whole MCE config in MP
    start with clean config
start with a remote config with no button's assigned ( clear all buttons)
    assign only the Green button

    see what happens

I am experiencing the same problem with MCE remote and irtrans. Was just wondering if you ever managed to get it working correctly?

Any help with this would be appreciated:

When using the mce receiver the START/WINDOWS/GREEN button works as expected.

When using the IRTRANS receiver the same button switch between window and fullscreen mode. This is very frustating.

    MCE Remote.
Windows media center is NOT installed.
XP SP2 with all updates up to the august releases.
MP RC2 with svn about 1 or 2 weeks old.
TV server 3 also about 1 or 2 weeks old.

I have exactly the same issue...

Is there any known workaround here?
Everything else works great with my MCE remote and IR Trans. Just out of the box...

It would be great if the Green button would work as a "swith to home" button.

    Any help here?

    Thanks and Greetings...

    Hi folks,

I too have this issue - I have MCE remote going through IRtrans.

I have mapped the green button to "home" in the mediaportal remote configuration.

And when I press the button, it does go to the mediportal home screen, but it also switches between windowed and fullscreen mode.

Which is a pain in the butt.

I want to stop it from changing between windowed and fullscreen too. Any help on this would be wonderful.

Only way I was able to get it working was bypassing irtrans and using irserver suite. Now my case build-in-display does not work, but at least the remote is working as expected.

I am wondering if this maybe is an issue like the "direction buttons get pressed twice" when using IRTrans. (solution for that is on the wiki).

So maybe we need to muck around in the IRTrans config files or something. Course, I have no idea how. :)
