Following the rottop (nicknamed one of my older laptops that way when it started crashing, and so followed the naming of the other pc's
) and the rotbak (mainpc) here's the rotbox (mediabox).
It's build based on an old Asus minitower I had around, very practical design and rather small.
Main stuff:
- Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H
- AMD Athlon X2 BE-2350
- Scythe Mini-Ninja
- 2GB DDR2-800 Apacer
- WD 500GB Greenpower HDD
- Asus Quiettrack S-ATA DVDdrive
- Some cardreader
- Hauppauge PVR-150
- XP Pro SP3 sent on a small diet
- M$ MCE remote and keyboard
It still isn't set up 100% but I'm getting there.
Had some trouble with webEPG to get it to work properly for the flemish part of belgium. But in the end I managed, and looking back on it I'm an idiot! Forgot a little setting in the plugin section of the tv-server part
After that all went smoothly, some plugins here and there, the webserver thingie also works like a charm! Made some TV logo's, so that it looks a little better.
Then came the next step, concurrent remote desktop users. Very handy if you want to remotely connect to the pc to do some minor things without having to turn off mediaportal or minimizing it. The whole process was a bit of a pain in the ass, untill I tried adding another registry setting I read on another site and it worked, whoopie
Oh well, let's do some more smaller stuff right now
